Shahab’s work reflects a deep connection to nature and a profound respect for the stories that spaces hold. Born and raised in Tehran, Iran—a city rich in architecture and history—he developed an early fascination with the ways design shapes human experience and enhances the quality of life.

Shahab moved to the United States to attend the architecture program at UC Berkeley, where he honed his approach to design and critical problem-solving. Inspired by the rugged beauty of natural landscapes and the enduring principles of modernist architecture, his work focuses on simplicity, precision, and a harmonious relationship with the environment. His design philosophy revolves around converging monumentality with sensitivity, blending raw materials like concrete and glass with light and nature to craft spaces that feel grounded yet open.

Now based in Montecito, California, Shahab is the Lead Designer at The Warner Group Architects. His award-winning designs honor both the land and the personal narratives of their inhabitants, creating spaces that foster a deep sense of belonging and stand the test of time
